Leading brewing businesses joined forces at Wickwar’s charity golf event back in summer this year to raise money for Wickwar’s chosen charity of the year; ‘The Children’s Hospice South West’.
The Children’s Hospice South West provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family, across the South West.
The fundraising event hosted by Wickwar Wessex Brewing Company, is now in it’s 5th year, and included attendees from key industry leaders such as Carlsberg and Green King, alongside several International Rugby Players such as; David Trick, Matt Perry, Andy Powell, Mark Raigan and Rhys Williams.
Donations were made from Wickwar Brewery, but also key suppliers such as Thatcher’s and Heineken. Final donations were counted last week, with a cheque being presented to the charity yesterday, at their Charlton Farmhouse. The total amount raised was £5,440.
Kate Fisher Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for the charity said, “Thank you so much for the incredible amount raised from the golf day this year- it really does mean a huge deal to all our families, staff and volunteers at Children’s Hospice South West.”
